शील [ śīla ] [ śī́la ] n. ( and m. g. [ ardharcādi ] ; ifc. f ( [ ā ] ) .) habit , custom , usage , natural or acquired way of living or acting , practice , conduct , disposition , tendency , character , nature (often ifc. = " habituated " or " accustomed " or " disposed " or " addicted to " , " practising " ; cf.
